Taste of Chicago Deployment

On the 3rd and 4th of July IMERT was deployed to Chicago at the request of the City of Chicago. The team was requested to standby incase there was need for mass medical treatment of the attendees of the Taste of Chicago. The Taste of Chicago is the largest food festival in the world and coincides with the City of Chicago’s Fourth of July celebration. An estimated 1.3 million people attended the Taste each day on July 3rd and July 4th. IMERT was staged at the Chicago Fire Academy with approximately 20 Chicago firefighters and paramedics.
