Properly inputting your notification information in CRIS

IMERT is currently using the Coordinated Responder Information System (CRIS), http://cris.imert.org, to update our primary and secondary dispatch systems.  In order for you to receive notification of an IMERT deployment, your contact information must be properly input into the system.  If you do not know your CRIS log in or CRIS ID number, please email emilyl@imert.org and it will be provided for you.  If you are unfamiliar with the system, please see the short summary posted on the Team Members page of www.imert.org.

Our primary dispatch system uses text messaging.  You must have a text capable device to receive notification of IMERT deployments, you must adhere to the format in the examples shown below, using a 10 digit number, followed by the “@” sign and concluding with the domain address.  Your wireless address (text address) must be input into the Wireless 1 field in the Home Address section of the MAIN responder page, it will then be automatically transferred to the first line of the Prioritized Call Tree.  You cannot type directly into line one of the Prioritized Call Tree.

Most cell phones now have an email address which enables the phone to receive text pages or emails.  It is your responsibility to test your text capability.  We encourage you to send your self a test page to verify you can receive text messages.  Below is a list of commonly used email addresses listed by cell or pager service provider. If you do not see your service provider listed below, please contact them directly to obtain your wireless address.

Our secondary dispatch system, Citywatch, will be using the Prioritized Call Tree to notify you of an IMERT Deployment.  After the primary dispatch system sends out a text notification, Citywatch alerts will be sent.  Citywatch can alert you using the following formats: Phone, Text Message, E-Mail, and Paging. Citywatch will only contact you using the information you choose to list in the prioritized call tree.  Your Call Priority 1 number is automatically generated from the Wireless 1 field in the Home Address section of the MAIN responder page.  Please input any other numbers, wireless addresses, or emails you would like us to use during notification of a deployment in the contact priority 2 through 6 fields.

To make changes to your user record permanent, you must click the green SAVE button.  There are two green save buttons located on the MAIN page of your user record.

Please log in to CRIS and update these field ASAP.  If you have any questions or trouble using the CRIS system, please contact Emily Lee at emilyl@imert.org or 630-495-6403 x202.
